However, admins have told me that any post or other type of information can be turned into a sticky, preferably when the information has been independently verified, which is what I did when I went through your post and compared it to the filings.

Something I forgot....I think they meant 'third party' verification of something the company has stated...which is quite a different thing from a mod verifying anything. An example would be when a 'contract' or 'LOI' has been announced...if someone from the other company 'verifies' the agreement with a signed statement or release, that could be a sticky.
