I have a dumb (newbie) question: how can buys outnumber sells, or vice versa? Do the marketmakers short the stock (i.e., sell shares they do not hold)? Also, does anyone have a recommended platform for seeing all this extra data (e.g., buys vs. sells, L2, etc.)?
