I recently returned to trading after about 6 years off and it seems like every run nowadays is a paid promo. It's a minefield! I am almost exclusively a bottom feeder/bounce player and now I have to determine with every stock I'm watching to see whether it was pumped, and if so how extensively, so that I know what kind of retracement to look for. (Some never bounce!) It really is criminal, and I'm not saying that because I'm getting burned like all these dummies, but because trading is no longer 'natural' in any way... now it's almost purely a game.

But really the same prinipals apply... it's still psychology, it's still 'buy fear sell greed', and it's still not hard to make money (despite all the rust I'm profitable right out of the gate).

But the naivete of anyone thinking this could ever be a team effort. In making money, the team is never more than 2, 3, 4 people... But 99% of the time it's every man for himself, and essentially against all others!
