Cat: First off, I'm a new trader! There's my disclaimer.
"Buy on the bid and sell at the ask"...it doesn't go through until the price adjusts (up or down) and my limit order becomes the bid. For example. Price is .0013 and the Bid is at .0012 and the ask is at .0014. You are saying put a limit order in to sell at .0014. This just won't go through unless the price adjusts up (say to .0015) and the bid becomes .0014.
Am I missing something here?
