Lupetto, people settle for all sorts of reasons, (cost, protect trade secrets, fear of losing, fear of a big judgment or no judgment at all). MSFT probably has some of the best IP attorneys in the world and the Virgin settlement will not be the deal maker or breaker. It is good that NEOM is protecting its IP property but a confidential settlement is of little value, particularly if NEOM is not allowed to diclose the terms to companies such as MSFT. TW
