UnionTown Energy Inc. (UTOG) provides shareholder update
Billings, MT - UnionTown Energy Inc. (OTCBB: UTOG) reports that the Company has been notified by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that trading in its securities have been suspended until 11:59 p.m. EDT, on June 14, 2011.
No formal request for documentation has been received by the Company from the SEC, however the company is taking a proactive stance and will be providing all documentation pertaining to the Company’s activities which substantiate all disclosures to date.
Furthermore, UnionTown believes that all of its public disclosures have been accurate to date and that they satisfy all of the Company’s obligations under applicable securities and corporate laws.
UnionTown’s President and CEO, Darren Stevenson said, “We were surprised with this order. We will do everything we can to ensure that it is lifted and the company can resume trading in a timely manner. In the meantime, we are continuing to focus our efforts on developing our growing portfolio of properties and coordinating the initial exploration, drilling and financing efforts.”
