Message addressed for some recent skepticism..

(I wrote it for the yahoo board, but maybe you find it worthwhile read)

There has been increased commentary on this board with the recent public articles that have come out, seems the pot is stirring again. That’s a good thing. But with it has brought some commentary playing devil’s advocate. I will always defend that. A board with everyone blowing smoke and pumping is not a good thing, and it wastes people time. True Longs ask hard questions and address the issues no one wants to mention.. cause god only knows a negative post might make a stock price collapse. That is how a negative comment is treated on other boards, with folks looking to sell quickly and don’t want anything to get in their way. I want a healthy discussion, and it seems we have one going here.
That being said, a good point has been brought up. And that is, how skeptic should we be of this stock? Fair and good question. After all, BP spill was a huge opportunity and it was built up to be our breakout moment. When it wasn’t this stock fell hard and fast. My take is that the failure was not EVTN’s, it was BP’s and the Regulators. As I’ve mentioned before, BP has to pay for barrels recovered, the most cost efficient solution was to disperse and NOT RECOVER the oil. It’s been suggested Costner’s big contract never amounted to anything either. The environment was a complete Non-factor, don’t kid yourself and think BP ever gave the slightest care as to what the dispersant might someday mean. BP has shareholders, and they did was in their own best interest, period. So the bottom line is, EVTN did not squander that opportunity, they just weren’t given one.
What they were given was a platform to take off from. They has exposure as a result, and I’m not sure we would have had the record revenues in Q4 2010 and Q1 2011 without it. The latest greatest effect of the BP spill was the creation of our underwater machine, something that’s looking to win the X challenge.
But again, the challenge is, should we be skeptic?? Tedrika just posted that Shell has overlooked us. That’s a good point, however, I think the recent deal with the unnamed South American Company (let me venture a guess at the name…PETROBRAS) is proof that the big boys in the Oil/Gas business do like us. And 5 years ago, our tech and our machines weren’t as evolved. We didn’t ship Petrobras a 4000 voraxial, we shipped them a Turnkey System (a multi-voraxial system with automation, turbidity meters, and flow meters). We’ve stepped it up to give them what they need, and FPSOs are a new platform of opportunity for us, that we actually are capitalizing on.
Lastly, and truly the only thing we should care about, is the stock price. Does the pps movement and potential deserve skepticism? Sure, it does. We a 10mil marketcap company, on the OTCQB exchange, with a very small float. We are in for a wild ride of ups and downs. The spread today was .29 – 37, that alone should tell you we have a ways to go to become a serious stock. A serious company, we sure are, but Im talking about a serious stock. That being said, the Absolute downside here is at most 35 cents, and that’s if everything were to go south tomorrow and we lost everything. Not happening. Long shot downside is the mid teens ,were we to have some bad news or finish this year with many disappointments. Also not likely. Reasonable downside is the high 20s (28 was a resistance that stood for some time, but is still a loss were you to buy in now at .35). COMPARE THAT TO THE UPSIDE. And when you consider the upside is not farfetched, I think the case for EVTN is sold at the current pps. If anyone of the big items on the plate comes to something bigger (the Biofuel, the Italian company putting in another big order, Petrobras putting in another big order, the Coast Guard deciding we are the company for future spills, etc..), they we rocket. And with such a small marketcap, and we don’t rocket 30% or 60%, we rocket multiples from the current level. Rick? Sure there is some here, but I sure hope you expect it in a penny stock. Potential? From a PPS increase standpoint, I cant find another I like better.
