The 1-second delay is a myth.

Even the video provided by H-boss showed a 0.1 second delay for Skype, and the Skype image was bigger and better than the Ojo:

You will experience video delays using Skype if your computer is overloaded, or if the bandwith is insufficient.

You're unlikely to encounter them on a crummy videophone if you're paying for high-speed internet and you're only using all that costly BW just to make a couple of video calls a day.
