I think PS3 has a graphics edge because PS3 does not use unified memory like XBOX 360.

OK, but otoh there is that 10 MB of 256 Gb/s edram in the ATI GPU. Sort of like a cache memory, I guess.

I agree that performance will be more than enough in both cases so now it's up to the software.

Seems to me the Xbox software will be easier to develop because it's simply 6 threads of PowerPC stuff rather than 2 threads PowerPC plus the 8 SPEs in PS3. And then of course the GPU stuff. Do the game developers have to know much about the GPU stuff or are they simply sending macro-type commands to the GPU like give me a poygon with these parameters ...

Price and content will be decisive.

Agreed. Are prices still totally unknown for both?
