Yes penny stocks just like big board stocks can all split. They can forward split or reverse split depending on the companies agenda. I have been in several Nasdaq stocks espeiclaly after 911 when the markets crashed and a ton went below a dollar so in order to manintain Nasdaq status they had to reverse split to take the share price higher to maintain listing. Also a lot of DOW stocks do it. It happened to a ton of big board stocks back over about 2 years after 911 and even after the financial crash of 2008 and 2009.
