Market Pulse: Escalon Medical files suit against IntraLase Corp

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Escalon Medical Corp. after Monday's closing bell said that it has filed a lawsuit against IntraLase Corp. alleging, among other things, multiple breaches of a license agreement for laser technology. The company also said that earlier this month, in a separate litigation matter, a court in California declared that InterLase must pay Escalon Medical royalties on revenue from maintenance contracts and one-year warranties, connected to a license agreement between the companies. The court said that IntraLase is not required to pay royalties on research grants, as part of the agreement.
