Banjo, that is not whinning. It's asking the company for information vital to the interests and wellbeing of the owners of the company - the shareholders.

It's holding the company accountable.

No I don't want the info thru personal phone conversations with John - I want the information published to all shareholders.

That's why I personally stopped phoning John. I just figured some of the info received was inappropriate for me to know without public dissemination.

(The company is for all shareholders - not just for those who call on a regular basis. A personal jab.)
