Dude it took close to 4 weeks from the time the dredges (based on news reports)landed in an African port, to be transported and have one on line and functioning.

It will take at least that long (probably twice as long) to get enough material to make the trip worthwhile to transport the material back to a port and ship it to a place where the true value of the product can be realized.

Just because you dig something out of the ground doesn't mean you realize the value of said material until you actually get it to market.

If you find a 3000 lb rock of gold but don't have the money to get it to market (transport it) then it is worthless where it sits. It doesn't aquire value until you can sell it to someone.

Just cause they have a pile of material sitting on some river bank doesn't mean it has yet been applied an actual value, and it won't until it is taken to a market.
