If I was him, I would release a PR because I don't only consider myself and I am or will be head of a public company, and I have set expectations via past PR's. Unless maybe things weren't going according to plan or bumps in the road I'd rather be quiet about...doesn't mean in that sense success is ruled out...just bumps you don't want to bring to light for whatever reasons.
