If you call the DTC, they will tell you to talk to your broker about the problem because you are not a customer of the DTC and the DTC only talks to its customers. If you call your broker, they will tell you to call the DTC about the problem because it is out of the hands of the brokers.
It is all set up very nicely to allow broker/DTC, um, "discrepancies" to be hidden from retail shareholders.
