Can you explain that more in depth? It doesn't make sense that bid sitters help the shorts. It actually seems like ask slapping without people on the bid would help the shorts more. Someone buys at the ask, the MM shorts shares to the buyer knowing there is not much support at a lower price. Then he drops the price and scares some trader into dumping his shares where he can buy them up and close out his short position for a profit.
Makes sense I thought. Please explain your side so I can get a better understanding. Thanks bud.
