Jim Renfro Reference check results:


Ok so I took it upon myself to contact multiple business/personal references that Renfro listed on RE website, as I am heavy long on BRZL. I received 3 callbacks...and still no call back or response from Jim Renfro, nor has he responded to a reputable brokerage firm who attempted to contact him as well. Those calls I did receive back were from the accountant, lawyer, and friend/technical project advisor. The friend/tech proj advisor checked out ok and says they have ben friends for almost 30 yrs, sees Jim a few times a year and periodically is asked questions/advice from Jim, but stays out of his project and is gettin a lil bit annoyed with the periodic calls from people, but was very polite, nonetheless. The lawyer is not so familiar with Jim nor the deal pending. The years known appear to be hyped up a bit. Also, the accountant did not check out. He is barely familiar with Jim, if at all, says he might have done a tax return or two in the past but not sure and he is definitely not considered an accountant for RE....and 10 years of history isn't even close. We all know that you don't put references on your resume if they won't give you a glowing rec, so I donno what Jim was thinkin or if he honestly believed no one would call and check him out....So far it appears he has some integrity, but also a lot of exaggeration. Take from this info what you will.
