This has prob already been answered so my apologies for the redundancy. The company has designated X number of Preferred Shares most likely for financing. We need to wait for the filing to see exactly what were dealing with but it's nothing out of the ordinary.

Investors want Preferred stock. Preferred shares are eventually converted to common stock thus giving the investor an exit strategy period. It's not fire and brimstone it's just finance plain and simple.

This is typically a good thing as it could mean the company is securing the financing it needs moving forward. The SEC filing should give a complete picture as to what's going on.
