These post certainly have become interesting. What is happening is the posts can now be broken into 3 categories. First, most are still insiders and paid, pumping cheerleaders. As time goes on they are becoming apparent. Second are the pure penny speculators who don't know much about treasure hunting, but understand technical analysis. And finally, are the people who have donned a mask and spent time on the water as either a dedicated professional or amateur, or know someone who has, or has studied real treasure hunting extensively.
Some really good posts, but know one has even mentioned the really 800 pound gorilla waiting on the shore…..SPAIN!. Just ask Odyssey Marine. Anyone who doesn't have money to loose, look up Odyssey Marine and The Black Swan case. They actual found and recovered $400M+ in coins, and brought them to the US. Because it was a Spanish ship, they lost 2 rounds in court over 3+ years and have probably $15M in legal bills. The bottom line is treasure hunting and recovery is a very risky, expensive and speculative business. Just thinking you may have a "cluster of ships" with cargo is a long, long way from showing a profit.
I'm rooting for ORRV and any treasure hunter in the world to find Mel Fisher type of mother loads, but ORRV isn't being upfront on it's press releases. If it would, perhaps more skilled and larger $$ might follow.
