Yeah, I was surprised to see Appleby shot his low score on the TPC course. Cottonwood Valley was never designed for the pros. They only started using it because there were so many rainouts each year and they needed to get the rounds in early.
Not a lot of water, but a fair share of doglegs.
In truth, next weeks Colonial is a much better course for the pros, it favors shot placement and strategy which is why many of the long hitters avoid the course.
