They said that what's currently appearing in my acct under the new cusip#, e.g. the exact number of shares I bought, including the 3.3% shares, but with 0.00 value, is called a "placer". A broker puts that there to hold the position's status. When they do get the shares in certificate form, it then will take up to 72hrs. to replace the placer with the shares.
At least I'm getting a good trading education throughout this situation.
