Sponge I had a quick look at

the link and have to say Allen does indeed look impressive. I like his attitude, not arrogant or smart ass, just matter of fact. I will look further when I have time.
One observation which you mention regarding race. This can be a definite benefit in ways you haven't noticed.
I have traveled a lot and lived in a lot of places as a kid, (Father a mining engineer with Anglo American) including Central and southern Africa, Far East etc.
Allen has fine features, sharper nose and so on, as well as a different demeanor to Obama. I would go out on a limb and say his heritage is more East Indian, from the southern part of India or even south American, or Tanzanian Indian (Immigrated there in the 1800s from India). With probably one side of his heritage being Western European (Brit probably).
This will make a real good mix. Smart and someone who thinks on both sides, empathetic to our values, which will be the same as his.
