spokeshave - I don't know about actual hardware costs, but I understand that other resources are required such as pretty much a fulltime engineer assigned to work with the equipment manufacturer during their testing phase. Brad said his initial thoughts were to have eight or nine different entities testing the prototype in its first release (obviously no shortage of interested parties) but at this point they won't be able to do that. As funding becomes available, they will move forward quickly in this area.
