There is no way other than a direct form, e-mail, or poll for them to tell who is a potential subscriber. Assuming everyone who goes to your website is a potential subscriber is just a bad assumption. Even if you pull only unique hits it's a bad assumption.

FACT: It is impossible with out direct input from an end-user to determine if he is interested in your product. You can make assumptions based of of visits and time on the site but nothing more.

The fact is simple. The PR needs clarification and was poorly worded. It would be nice to see a clarification on this issue in the morning.
