Digr, here is a discussion from GNelson & EricE on SI (remember them, they don't post here) about one of the "Has Beens" you mentioned in your post to me. Rick Sandri, PhD.

BTW, I'd rather be a Has Been then a Never Has Been. Besides Digr, once GE is a success, IF it is a success, these so called Has Been experts as you call them will be placer experts thereby expanding their resume and credentials. Successful, motivated professionals like new challenges in general. Scientists are curious by nature. Someones the solution to a scientis's problem it right under your nose, or feet.

It's gone up another 1% since my last post! (Gold)
Hi, Eric, long time no post. I was just checking
what you had said recently, and saw your post below.
Highly coincidental! I discussed this very point with a
friend over lunch today. We were commenting on the fact BD only panned the samples, and thus didn't get an accurate assay. When you dig into their report, you find they comment about their lab procedure where fine gold particles were seen floating on the water. They used some soap (surfactant to us chemical engineers) to settle the fine gold out of the water. Well, guess what happened when they used water to pan the samples in the first steps in Bolivia before they even got their "rough" concentrate to their lab for further handling!

Sandri wouldn't have been impressed with GE's potential based on their reported panned sample results (most averaged >0 to 0.25 gpt). Who's to say he didn't get a few fire assays on his own dime? Whatever, he knew what career move of the decade to make!
Speaks volumes, indeed.
You are right, GE going to higher production just as gold is breaking out is nice, very nice.

And dont forget...
-- Rick Sandri, Ph.D, Technical Director, is a former Senior
Associate of Behre, Dolbear & Co., a large international
mining consulting firm. Dr. Sandri oversaw the study that
Behre Dolbear carried out in the Tipuani Gold Mining District for Golden Eagle.

....who joined GE after Behre & Dolbear's initial involvement. Speaks volumes IMO

His involvement impressed me too. I bought at .07.
