Sam Snead used to make a lot of money playing with folks, he would let them have the inflated handicap they claimed but they played golf not some gimme, mulligan, improve lie, game.

I never understood the attraction of playing without the rules. It is fun trying to get up and down from some impossible place or at least limit the damage.
