Bob:
Why do you say you hold concentrated positions longer than me? (Of course, "concentrated" is a subjective term and I'm not sure what you mean by it.) I'm not saying you don't, but you can't use MDF as an example. I almost NEVER sell a stock I bought a month earlier unless something serious goes wrong. MDF was a unique situation - which you are familiar with.
I'm confident I COULD trade weekly or monthly all day long - and do better, but the cost (meaning time, energy, etc) isn't worth it. I would much rather do other things than spend all day glued to the screen. Been there, done that.
Anyway, I find it surprising that you would imply that I'm not a long term holder on concentrated positions - especially when I'm probably well known for holding (at least a portion of a) stock for 1 year before reevaluation (and even then, I may or may not sell). If you mean longer than 1 year, maybe that is true. But, 1 year is forever in this day and age - and even longer than forever on this board.
Despite my recent sell off, I still own several long term holdings.
