Just got home today, read the PR and all the posts. WOW, what an opportunity for CGAQ. It's a little morbid but one man's loss is another man's gain. The accident was very unfortunate and tragic for the family of that jockey, but it could be a real negotiating tool for Swank.

I noticed some have questioned whether or not this was a done deal because it states that they are renegotiating. It seems to me that if you've never had anything, how can you REnegogiate???? When you sign an original contract, you negotiate. When you want to REdo your contract that's already in place, you REnegotiate. That tells me that this is/was a done deal.

Makes perfect sense to me.

sssneo, I agree. This could end up being a purchase at a bargain basement price cuz it just makes sense that DR would just as soon get rid of this headache. Not only would it stop being a drag on the country's economy but it would become a revenue generating machine with the help of CGAQ's kiosks.

I'm sure that the locals want to see it continue to operate. One of the articles posted earlier stated that this "threatens the livelihood of more than 4,000 families who depend on this activity."

Again, sad deal for the rider and his family, but a real oppotunity for CGAQ.
