Actually, you missed the point of the post. It was posted in response to statements that are often made here and elsewhere that the Cytosorb device is the only one capable of cytokine capture. That is flat out wrong and I quickly selected a number of studies, some invitro, some preclinical and some clinical showing the efficacy of a number of different systems on cytokine capture.
The fact that the CTSO device has CE approval in no way means that there will be a statistically significant survival benefit. When we see the data, there MAY be a benefit, but for such a small underpowered study I doubt it will be convincing to the medical community.
