There's nothing lame about it as it is only an amendment to the 8K filed on 4/20/11 that now it includes the letter from the ousted auditor stating that they have no issues with the statements made by the company in the original 8K, this tells me that there are no financial reporting issues and that the ousted firm could not meet the timeline, period end of story. This letter from the old firm should make it easy for the new firm to wrap up and file accordingly which is what the SEC would be looking for.
