MC Endeavors Board Member U.S. Ambassador Lewis Lucke Book Re-Released: “Waiting for Rain: Life & Development in Mali, West Africa”:
Press Release Source: MC Endeavors, Inc. On Thursday May 5, 2011, 8:08 am
AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MC Endeavors, Inc. (PINK SHEETS: MSMY) announced that Christopher Publishing has just re-released the well received book "Waiting for Rain: Life & Development in Mali, West Africa” that was penned by Board Member and Director U.S. Ambassador Lewis Lucke. It will also be available on Kindle in a couple of weeks as well. Lucke wrote this book after his experience in Mali when he served there as part of the U.S. Foreign Service. “I am still waiting on the movie version...” says Lucke. Here is the jacket description below:
"Waiting for Rain" is the story of a young, novice development professional who leaves the comfort of the United States to live and work in Mali, one of West Africa's poorest but most interesting and authentically African countries. Mali boasts one of the lowest GDPs and some of the most intractable development challenges in the world, but it is the home of Timbuktu, the Niger River, Dogon cliff dwellers and the mud mosques of Mopti. Though the country is culturally fascinating, can you ever get over the shock of working in such an impoverished country where life expectancy is 41 and a major drought is just coming to an end? What kind of development programs can you hope to put together to effectively address the problems of Mali? And since this is important work that touches the lives of real people, when all is said and done, will you have succeeded or not? "Waiting for Rain" may be of interest to those interested in other cultures, travel, Africa, international social issues and development buffs. Without being overly technical, the book treats a serious subject - economic development - while viewing the personal side of living and working in Mali.
Lewis Lucke is the former U.S. Ambassador to Swaziland as well as the former U.S. Response Coordinator for the Haiti earthquake. Lucke also served as the first USAID Mission Director for Iraq and sits on the Board of Directors of MC Endeavors, Inc. MC Endeavors CEO Tim Algier emphasized that,
“Ambassador Lucke has been dedicated and compassionate about helping less-fortunate cultures throughout his travels around the world. His on-the-ground experience in Haiti will be invaluable in helping Haitians rebuild and develop a new economy.”

MC Endeavors Board Member U.S. Ambassador Lewis Lucke Returns from Haiti with New Insights & Rededication:
Popular New Haiti President Michel Martelly and his Cabinet to be Installed on May 16th...
Press Release Source: MC Endeavors, Inc. On Wednesday May 4, 2011, 8:08 am
AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MC Endeavors, Inc. (PinkSheets: MSMY) Board Member and Director U.S. Ambassador Lewis Lucke returned from Haiti and reflected on the current status of the West Indies nation:
“Not a lot of good news normally comes from Haiti, particularly in the wake of last January's horrific earthquake, but some perspective is needed. The world hurried to respond to Haiti's urgent and immediate need for emergency and humanitarian assistance and now Haiti needs to focus on its longer-term recovery and reconstruction. That reconstruction assistance has in my view moved far too slowly, even though to some extent this is understandable given the doubts about the political stability surrounding the first stage of Haiti's flawed first round of elections last November-December. But the second electoral round went much smoother with a clear Presidential victor in Michel Martelly won the Presidential Election with 67.57% of the votes. That resulting political stability gives hope not only for a new and better Government of Haiti but also that reconstruction funds will begin to flow more effectively. While Haiti is still broken, this is a time of renewed hope and optimism.”
Ambassador Lucke went on to say that, “Much remains to be done in Haiti. Probably 80% of the earthquake debris remains in place and as many as 700,000 people are still in tents and under tarps. This is unacceptable. Clearly, two of the biggest challenges facing Haiti are a comprehensive community-based program of debris removal and a focus on permanent, affordable and rapidly built housing. Haiti must also concentrate to create agriculture-based rural enterprise both as an economic engine and to create economic opportunity for rural people who would otherwise crowd into an already densely populated Port au Prince. The key to Haiti's recovery must be in the hand of Haitians themselves. The focus of reconstruction must be on Haitian enterprises, Haitian workers and Haitian leaders leading the charge for Haiti and Haitians. Haitians work hard and are capable people. The role of Haiti's friends in the international community is helping Haiti help itself.”
MC Endeavors CEO Tim Algier emphasized that, “Ambassador Lucke was the former U.S. Response Coordinator for the Haiti earthquake who led the United States’ relief and recovery program. His insights and on-the-ground experience in Haiti will give us the opportunity to really make a difference in both addressing the homeless situation and helping Haitians build a new economy.”

MC Endeavors Announces MOU with Seismic Foundation Control for Earthquake Resistant Base Isolator Technology:
Seismic vibration-dampening systems complete the protection of MCE’s Lamisteel residential and small commercial buildings from earthquake damage at an economical cost.
Press Release Source: MC Endeavors, Inc. On Monday May 2, 2011, 8:10 am
SUNDANCE, Wyo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MC Endeavors, Inc. (PinkSheets: MSMY) announced it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the proposed acquisition Seismic Foundation Control, Inc. of Edmonds, WA that would bring in-house a key element to complete the earthquake protection of MCE’s Lamisteel residential and small commercial buildings. The patented factory built base isolator named “Quake Guard” features a three-part system consisting of a ball and socket casing and an elastomeric pad of rubber and steel plates vulcanized together with a steel frame on which the building's steel floor frame is attached.
John Armstrong, President of Seismic Foundation Control, stated that, “A building and its contents supported by these units will experience substantially reduced shaking and damage in the event of an earthquake. These foundations are superior to any other foundation for use on compressive or expansive soils such as adobe, clay or bay mud, which create stress and movement in traditional concrete footings and foundations. Preliminary testing of a 2-story 15 foot by 10 foot building has shown to have no ill-effects after being placed on a shaker-table for simulating the Sylmar and El Centro earthquakes.”
Tim Algier, Architect and CEO of MC Endeavors stated that, “The Quake Guard base isolators are very economically designed and will play a key role in the foundation engineering for the reconstruction efforts to rebuild cities and communities within the earthquake ravaged countries of Haiti, Chile, New Zealand, China, and Japan.
The estimate to rebuild these countries now tops $600 Billion and they require new technologies that are both economical and time-sensitive. Homeless survivors need to have their communities rebuilt, but they must have confidence that the new buildings can withstand the aftershocks and future earthquakes.”

MC Endeavors Director U.S. Ambassador Lewis Lucke Travels to Haiti to Survey Reconstruction Programs after New President Elected:
MC Endeavors Director to Meet with Martelly Officials to Review and Outline Steps to Rebuild the West Indies Nation...
Press Release Source: MC Endeavors, Inc. On Tuesday April 12, 2011, 7:33 am EDT
AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MC Endeavors, Inc. (Pink Sheets: MSMY) announced that its Director U.S. Ambassador Lewis Lucke is traveling to Haiti to survey the reconstruction programs after last week’s announcement that musician Michel Martelly had won the Presidential Election with 67.57% of the votes.
Ambassador Lucke stated, “As President, Martelly will face the huge challenge of trying to rebuild a Caribbean Country that was already in poverty status well before the January 12, 2010 earthquake which killed more than 300,000 people, made more than 1.5 million homeless, and bludgeoned the fragile economy.” The Ambassador went on to state that, “Hundreds of thousands of destitute earthquake victims are still living in squalid tent and tarpaulin camps clamoring for jobs and housing, and Martelly will have to work closely with private local and international donors to ensure prompt delivery and effective use of $10 billion in foreign aid.”
MC Endeavors CEO Tim Algier emphasized that, “Ambassador Lucke served as the U.S. Response Coordinator for the Haiti earthquake, leading the United States’ $1.0 billion to date relief and recovery program, and having him on our reconstruction team is very valuable to us. MC Endeavors Points to Growth and Focus in Strong Long Lasting Environmentally Passive and Active Building Systems:
Subsidiaries Centiuum, Lamisteel, and Engenaire to work together to Integrate their IP into one Smart Building System...
Press Release Source: MC Endeavors, Inc. On Tuesday April 5, 2011, 8:08 am EDT
AUBURN HILLS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MC Endeavors, Inc. (Pink Sheets: MSMY) released its annual “State of the Corporation” summary which points to creating growth for the company by focusing its subsidiaries to work together to integrate their intellectual properties and expertise into one Smart Building System that is disaster resistant and utilizes both environmentally passive and active energy systems to perform on its own “on-or-off grid.”
Centiuum’s sewage digestion and gray-water remediation and storage systems can be integrated into the self-sustainable community design for water supply. Engenaire’s generator sets can be integrated into the design of a commercial building or a home so that it can power the structure without electricity from the utility grid. Lamisteel’s building technology combination of welded tube-steel and rigid closed-cell foam insulation can withstand the shaking of an earthquake, the wind load of a hurricane, and is water resistant from floods unlike wood studs, fiberglass insulation, and sheetrock that all soak up water that grows mold and rots out.
Tim Algier, CEO of MC Endeavors, stated that, “MCE continues to receive RFPs for rebuilding efforts from disaster areas around the globe. Our Director, U.S. Ambassador Lewis Lucke, has informed us that reconstruction efforts in Haiti will begin to be funded now that President Michel Martelly has finally taken office. Over $10 Billion in funding has already been raised worldwide for Haiti Reconstruction.”
Mr. Algier went on to say that, “In Architecture School at USC in L.A. we experienced the Sylmar earthquake of ’71 firsthand and again got to experience the disastrous rolling effects of the Northridge earthquake in ’94. So we have had a focus on earthquake resistant design for 40 years now.” He went on to question, “Yet we continue to see the building industry reconstruct these disaster-hit communities with the same age-old stick-&-stucco and brick-&-mortar techniques that their grandfather used. Why do that? The whole re-building process needs to be rethought and re-evaluated. We feel our technology meets these challenges.”
Jerry Kammerer, CTO of MC Endeavors and Principal of Lamisteel LLC, went on to explain that, “After a natural disaster such as an earthquake, tornado, hurricane or flood, the buildings that are left standing must be able to kick-on their back-up energy systems to generate light, stay warm, pump water and cook food. So the engineering, type, and location of these systems become a critical part of the building configuration and must be integrated into the design.”

ENGENAIRE’s Inductive Generator Sets for the Commercial Power Industry Eliminate the Need for Expensive Controllers:
MC Endeavors’ Newest Subsidiary ENGENAIRE Announces New Inductive Generator Technology Set to Revolutionize an Already $10 Billion Industry:
Press Release Source: MC Endeavors, Inc. On Tuesday March 29, 2011, 10:51 am EDT
SUNDANCE, Wyo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MC Endeavors, Inc. (Pink Sheets: MSMY) announced a new $18 million project from its newest subsidiary ENGENAIRE, Inc. using another proprietary multi-fuel generator product that will revolutionize the commercial power industry by allowing any number of generators to run in parallel out to the grid without expensive control systems, thereby saving hundreds of thousands of dollars in start up costs.
Tim Algier, CEO of MC Endeavors, stated that, “We are working with a large landfill operator that has more than 20 generator sites throughout the United States. They want to eliminate their downtime maintenance expense of the large diesel generators and use a larger number of smaller multi-fuel generators that require less downtime and do not require the large instrument and control systems that are needed to keep the electrical power matched to the grid.”
Larry Pendell, Principal of ENGENAIRE, described that, “The Inductive Generator System is a combination of a number of continuous multi-fuel generator sets running in parallel and are designed to automatically adjust their power output in symmetry with the required grid power. Running on LPG, LNG, on any biogas created at the landfill allows for cleaner burning engine-generator sets and they will run many more hours requiring far less maintenance. This is a tremendous savings for the client and an improvement to the air quality output at their facilities.”

MC Endeavors' Latest Subsidiary ENGENAIRE Announces New Product: “Safety-AID”
The Safety Automatic Independent Disconnect for Any User to Put Electricity Back on the Utility Grid Safely:
Press Release Source: MC Endeavors, Inc. On Wednesday February 23, 2011, 8:15 am EST
LAGUNA HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Last week MC Endeavors, Inc. (Pink Sheets: MSMY) announced the acquisition of the majority interest of ENGENAIRE, Inc. This acquisition includes the new Safety-AID product, allowing homeowners to SAFELY connect to the Electrical Utility Grid and to send electricity back to the utility for electricity credits, as one of its significant patented technologies. The MCE/ENGENAIRE merger brings with it an array of innovative new technologies that we will announce and describe through our next several press releases.
Larry Pendell, Principal of ENGENAIRE, emphasizes, “The utility companies have been very negative in accepting independent electricity from homeowners who have installed generators and want to send the excess electricity they generate back to the grid. Utilities have claimed it is a severe safety hazard because there is no safety switch to protect their linemen and other workers from injury or death when they are working on downed power lines or when there is a black-out. Now the Safety Automatic Independent Disconnect switch fills that need.”
Tim Algier, CEO of MC Endeavors, outlined, “The Safety-AID product is a very significant step for both users and the electrical utilities that have been issued government mandates to accept electricity from independent generators. The Safety-AID enclosure will accept the existing homeowner meter to be re-mounted on top of the surface and the disconnect switch is UL Approved.” Mr. Algier went on to say that, “The market for this device includes any residential or commercial user who wants to have 100% certainty that they will have electricity when the power lines go down and wants to safely send their excess generated electricity back to the grid. It is a multi-million dollar market and Safety-AID is an exciting addition to the MCE line of products and services!”

MC Endeavors Has Agreed to Acquire Majority Interest of ENGENAIRE to Manufacture Smart-Grid Switches and Variable Speed Generators for MCE:
Press Release Source: MC Endeavors, Inc. On Monday February 14, 2011, 6:20 pm EST
LAGUNA HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MC Endeavors, Inc. (Pink Sheets: MSMY) announced that it has agreed to acquire the majority interest of ENGENAIRE, Inc. of Elkhart, Indiana, to manufacture Smart-Grid Switches and Variable Speed Generators with the MCE Label for distribution and sales worldwide. This partnership will bring to MCE an additional piece of its GREEN technology in connection of electrical production generated from wind and gas.
Tim Algier, CEO of MC Endeavors, outlined, “This is a very important partnership because it solidifies our position in the self-sustainable building industry by providing both residential and commercial clients with patented variable speed generators that connect directly to the grid without going through expensive rectifiers and converters using patented safety approved smart-grid switches that prevent generated electricity from entering the electrical grid back to the utility during accidents, downed power lines and blackouts.”
Larry Pendell, Principal of ENGENAIRE, emphasized, “The Variable Speed Generator will produce constant numbers of AC cycles (like 60 cycles per second for example) regardless of the input shaft speed. The shaft can run from 0 to the mechanical limits of the generator depending on its design. The amount of torque times the speed of the shaft determines the output in Kilowatts up to the capacity of the generator.” Larry went on to say that, “The advantage of this design is that you can hook the generator directly to the grid without going through a rectifier/inverter. Besides being very expensive, rectifier/inverters are prone to trouble and problems and have relatively high maintenance costs. This is a major savings for the end user.”
