Jim Cramers show on Friday talked about Dupont. Seems as though Dupont's textiles portion was sold to Koch and that Dupont's more into chemicals and agriculture, they even sell gen modified seed to farms. Kind of a surprise to me because I pretty much had Dupont in my mind as the perfect textile partner. Still I consider Dupont though (they still market Kevlar, which is something KBLB will be giving a run for it's money at some point-fingers crossed-). I would also submit for thought BASF as a great candidate. They have a great textile product line. Solid company.

After doing some quick digging:

WICHITA, Kan., WILMINGTON, Del. – April 30, 2004 – DuPont and subsidiaries of Koch Industries, Inc. today finalized the sale of INVISTA, formerly DuPont Textiles & Interiors, for $4.2 billion, including the assumption of debt and certain joint venture and equity interests covered under a non-binding letter of intent. Ownership will transfer at 5 p.m. EDT
Going forward, the company will conduct business as INVISTA.

So we can add INVISTA to the list of suitors for KBLB.
...Never even heard of Invista till 5 minuts ago. lol
I checked out their website and I like what I see. For every reason I would have thought of Dupont, it's really Invista (now that I know what happened in 2004) that I'm wanting. I would put Invista over Dupont knowing what I know now. Definitely check it out.

Even better, we can just have Invista, BASF, Dupont, Honeywell and any other Big players fight it out over us.

On an unrelated note, I have an REI store close by that I drive by a lot, can you imagine that pretty much everything on the shelves at REI would be re-engineered with SPIDERSILK. $$$

GO KBLB!
