its an easy questin to answer. sometimes people for what ever reason fight mergers and transfers of stock to a new company so the shares are not retired. their is a vaue but only for a while. if the people who did not agree do not change their stoc it is deemed useless in a preset time. the normal share is in the new company not the delisted
