There a number of reasons folks in stock game want companies to fail, but simple answer is greed, you need to look up "shorting of stocks" ... Google I'm sure will speak volumes.. also the practice of loaning money to start up companies and getting stock as collateral is an invitation for disaster as if the patents seem more valuable than the business plan the money lender can drive the stock value to 0 by shorting ..foreclose on the debt . BK the company and get get the company assets for free plus get their investment back by shorting the stock on the way down.. IF THEY BK THE COMPANY THEY DO NOT EVEN HAVE TO COVER THE SHORT POSITION.. you will have to look that up.

It's wall streets shame and CLSC fell prey to it however has managed to fight back an if prevails will be a poster child for reform...
