You are missing several important points. This company does not have millions of dollars of debt. With the exception of one debenture holder all of the debt (including Raley and Watford's notes) have been converted to stock and never have to be repaid. Obviously you are not aware of the backroom (but legal)deals which occur on these type of stocks and the results of mergers between different companies, etc. I certainly would not put this stock in my IRA and forget about it but based on quite a few years of experienc with these type stocks I feel that there is an above average chance that at some point there will be a pop on the stock.
