"To this point there has not been any official word from the Nunatsiavut government regarding the moratorium being lifted or extended.

As taken from the minutes to the Second Assembly of the Nunatsiavut, 1st session, 1st sitting, a review of the draft land use plan was due to be completed by the end of March 31, 2011. This process was behind schedule and the two levels of government (provincial and local) approved an extension that must now be submitted by September 2011.

Also taken from the question period of this assembly, the legislation states that the moratorium shall be revisited after March 31, 2011 with no date given and that no extension has either been requested. It is entirely up to the assembly to review or revisit the moratorium deadline.

I recently did read from a report that the Assembly is scheduled to meet sometime this spring, possibly this month. Kindly get back in touch with me sometime later this month to see if anything like this has occurred and if any official comments are made.

In the interim, the share price of Crosshair has dropped due in part to a financing that came out of its four month hold period that was in the money and also due to general market weakness. Crosshair is not alone in this regard and I would expect to see a change in this pattern as selling pressure subsides and news flow from the three work programs the company announced - the first of which begins on Juniper Ridge, later this month. I would also hope that a more positive sentiment in the uranium sector helps to bring back into focus the demand and supply fundamentals that once drove the uranium sectors re-emergence late last year as well."
