First American Scientific Corp. (FASC – OTCBB) and AGES announces SDTC grant approval for KDS 3000 construction and installation

Mr. Cal Kantonen, Chairman of First American Scientific Corp. (FASC) and Mr. William Barber, President of Alternative Green Energy Systems, Inc (AGES) are pleased to announce that AGES has received approval for funding from Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) to finance the fabrication and installation of a large scale KDS-3000 System at a Canadian pulp mill.

The KDS 3000 is a large-scale production machine designed by AGES to kinetically dewater and disintegrate a variety of wet waste biomass materials. The dry disintegrated biomass produced by the system may be used as a substitute green fuel or be further processed to yield useful value-added materials such as recovered paper fiber and kaolin/calcium carbonate.

An independent business plan submitted to SDTC as part of the project evaluation indicates that there is a multi-million dollar market potential for the this technology in North America. According to Mr. Barber “this demand is being driven by the requirement of Pulp and Paper companies to find solutions to the ever increasing cost of disposal of their waste material which is having a detrimental impact on corporate earnings. Further tightening of environmental regulations in Canada and worldwide will accelerate the need to implement the environmentally friendly solutions offered by the FASC group of companies. This government sponsored project will allow us to showcase the new AGES designed KDS 3000 System and demonstrate its capabilities” See www.ages-biomass.com for details.

SDTC is a funding organization created by the Canadian Government to provide assistance to Canadian businesses wishing to showcase newly developed technologies that have wide spread market potential that will positively impact greenhouse gas emissions, help reach the goal of sustainable development and help with clean air and climate change. Funding agreements under the plan call for a two to one matching investment from the private sector applicants. See www.sdtc.ca for details.

First American Scientific Corp is the owner of the patented KDS Micronex System, a unique dewatering and disintegration system, which is capable of reducing and drying industrial waste materials into a fine dry powder suitable for the pulp and paper industry and numerous other industrial applications. FASC’s KDS equipment is currently in operation worldwide at installations in the United States, Canada, South East Asia and Europe. AGES is FASC’s joint venture partner serving the Pulp & Paper industry in North American and the European Union
