Newly diagnosed breast cancer incidence in U.S. is approx. 240,000 patients yearly. Out of that number approx. 60% undergo SNLB. So out of that 144,000 patients we get the following breakdown
1. blue dye only
2. sulfur colloid only
3. blue dye and sulfur colloid combination
I lump 2, and 3 for sulfur colloid that I estimate 60% penetration of that 144,000 number which equals 86,400 sulfur colloid market. I used estimations from my research, but they are only that estimations. Getting market data on my estimations were pretty difficult, but managed through different linked data I stumbled upon. I definitely wasn't able to arrive at these estimations with any documented sales figures from blue dye or sulfur colloid found on the internet.
