Buyback has to occur at bid?


If I have read correctly, the buyback has to occur on the bid. As a result the process will look like dilution or shorting if there is not enough buy volume to conteract the pps effect.

Over the long term though, it will take fewer and fewer shares to move the pps pass resistance and support points which should lead to greater upward movement in response to positive news.
