duke27: Using my SWAG analysis/insight, I previously today posted on RBB regarding my thoughts on their "Shotcode" technology. BTW, from their website, "In 2005, we decided to focus completely on Shotcode."

Wow, now for my SWAG analysis/insight reposted from RBB:

ifathom: In response to your questions/comments, "My question is if the patent is strong, why are there so many in this space? And will an "internet" code be more customizable like shotcodes etc. used by one beer company at present to link you directly to the contest or ad campaign site vs. just to the company website. I'm leaning towards shotcode type tech which may be a better fit for this functionality and an easier camera capture. A cross platform that could link shotcodes and barcodes will emerge the victor I feel. Thoughts?"

...NeoMedia's "PaperClick" technology allows the customer who owns the barcode to change, on-the-fly, where their barcode will take the consumer. Here today, there tomorrow...all in the matter of just a few key-strokes.

Why would a company pay for adding a second "Shotcode" or anything else to their packaging if they can utilize their already existing barcode? My guess is they wouldn't.
