RE: Loanwolf, static charts etc.

Not sure exactly what you want to do but first I would read my post on chart and link posting 101, it has several options which might be applicable.

The option to save a static chart in the snapshots folder disappeared a couple of years ago, due to an upgrade which added many new features.

You now have many new options depending on what you need to do.

- Use the "Share" button below the chart and email a static snapshot of the full chart along with a StockCharts link to the chart on the charting input page. The recipient will see the full snapshot but if they are not a member they will only see a free live version of the chart when they follow the link.

- For a static version you could also set the chart to a specific start and end date, hit the linkable version button and then save the URL link. Then every time you pull up that link it will be the same chart, at least until there is a data adjustment like a stock split or something, then StockCharts will back adjust the data to reflect the split. But again anyone who is not a member pulling up that chart will still only see what a free member would see.

- For static charts you could also use the printscreen function that comes with your operating system or a third party version to save a snapshot to whatever folder you want on your computer.

- Or save an image file (snapshot) directly with your browser, not sure exactly how it works on a MAC but if I run a Safari emulator on my Windoz machine, if I right click on the chart it gives me an option to "Save Image As.." then just name it and select the folder.

hopefully the above will give you some ideas, or let us know more details of exactly what you need to do.
