I spent time in the mall this weekend and was surprised at all the merchandise that seemed to be in the stores. I was also surprised at the good sales the stores were having so close to Christmas. One department store was giving a $10 store coupon for every $50.00 you spent (so thats like a 20% discount on top of the sale items). I guess this coming weekend will tell the tale.
