I don't know for sure, but why would Intel feel the need "to Collaborate on PaperClick as Mobile-to-Internet Linking Platform"? My thoughts are they wouldn't unless they would be able to make some money in the whole m-commerce wave by making "PaperClick" automatically available on mobile devices that utilize their PXA27x chips. JMHO...
I just don't see the connection otherwise. How can Intel benefit from NeoMedia if this is not the case? Further more, how can NeoMedia benefit from Intel if this is not the case? Intel is hardware, NeoMedia is software. Intel already empowers the world to connect to the internet via land or mobile devices.
From the NR: "NeoMedia and Intel have agreed to work jointly, including developing and marketing NeoMedia's PaperClick product for the PXA27x processor family, and cooperating to foster penetration of the enterprise and consumer global mobile marketplace by both companies."
Downloading the software doesn't seem to be the best means to "penetrate" anything. Do we have do download Google? NO.
SAIC is big, but I think Intel is BIGGER!
Any other thoughts?
