gouging is my guess from the govt. florida use to be way higher than ga b/c of property taxes but ga has managed to raise their gas price and still have high property taxes. kinda odd 2 weeks ago i drove over to cordele ga and gas was 3.65 but douglas and waycross was 3.76. thats a big spread.
