Another blow to investor enthusiasm with Hypercom is the executive shakeup with both the chief executive and chief financial officers out the door. Beech625 says they were pushed out, and he believes their departures are "the best thing that has happened to this company in a long time" Management has been the poorest allocator of capital that I have ever witnessed." With no replacements yet announced, Beech625 thinks that Hypercom is a ripe takeover target and says Israeli electronic-payment company Lipman Electronic Engineering (nasdaq: LPMA - news - people ) may be interested--and so may a private equity buyer.
