As some smart-alecs like to point out, every trade has a buyer and a seller. "buy and sell" is kind of a euphemism for trades at the bid and ask.

Trades at the bid reflect weakness and are counted as sells even tough somebody bought them. Trades at the ask reflect strength and count as buys even though somebody sold them.



I can forgive a pink that lies to me, but I can't forgive a pink whose lies I believed.
