Really, and how well do you know any of the people you are dealing with on E-bay....feedback is not to be trusted in most cases because of E-bay and paypals time limits on complaints....much of the negative feedback is never reported because of the time limits....by the time you find out you got taken the restrictions placed by E-bay and paypal have expired and you have no way of reporting the scam.....happened to me once and that was enough, however I have heard countless horror stories about the scams that operate on E-bay......sorry pal but I trust the members of this board far more than I trust a global site that charges excessive fees for each transaction and claims you have complete protection, when in fact you have no protection whatever from anyone who is in the business to scam you....these people know all the tricks and they will get past E-bay's feedback with a 100% rating, and the thing is most of them have been doing it for almost a long as E-bay has been in business...none of my friends,relatives or business associates ever make any purchases on E-bay and as far as selling items, well there are many smaller or even local internet sites that do not charge any where near E-bay rates.....if its silver and gold, or any precious metals, they should always be purchased from reputable dealers like Apmex, Gainsville,Provident or a host of other companies you can rely on....jsut today there was a post on this board by DT Goody about the service from Apmex.....I know that will never happen if he had purchased on E-Bay.....and NO I didn't really get screwed that bad,but the fact is I got screwed and it is the other stories I have heard that gets my nads in a knot about E-bay and paypal.....jsut saying....
