Can't quite agree with your analogy. It's like calling the clerk at the dept of motor vehicles incompetent. Wally had an attitude well before Guyer came to town. The records predate Wally and show the attitude shift when he came on board. Yeah, the guy has an agenda. The hearing actually was used to bring this up and enter the behavior into record. They used proof. Wally doesn't care, it's his job to make sure things are right - he just goes a little too far at times. It's not the company's job to impress Wally. As long as the paperwork is right he can't do much but nitpick.

And talk about nitpick; if you search the records you'll see instances where they literally tore some of the company paperwork apart, circled problems they had and hand wrote responses that were almost snide. Examples? Like the page numbers were at the bottom, not at the top. Semi-colons were used when periods would have been preferred. Just childish stuff that an adult professional would have handled with a phone call.

Then again, Wally is like the DA in a criminal trial. We can't suck up to him and win. If that was the case everyone would be on death row.

The potential environmental problems? I'd take a look at that a little closer on how that problem came into existence in the first place.

This thing will get done - it would just go a lot smoother if the system was used the way it was intended.
