Facts:
1. it is taking a long time.
2. Brokers charge an arm and a leg to take companies public, up to 50% of a company for smaller firms. (They are better at it and smoother because they do it all day every day and have entire departments dedicated to it)
Even though this is taking a long time, if the long term benefit is less dilution of shares, aka increased share holder value, then it will be worth the ride. Worst case, this helps quite a few people into Long Term Vs short term Capital gains? :)
