Oil? Very, very unlikely. There were no guarantees that any US company would get the rights if they were taken away from ERHE and it would have tied up those rights for years. In the meantime, the Jefferson investigation was roaring with the money found in his freezer, with the raid of his congressional offices and with the rumors flying about him helping Nigerian companies via bribes. Plus if you are going the George Soros route it is a little ridiculous to think that a GWB Justice Dept would be doing anything to help Soros. That would not have happened.
